For families. Return this form only if you do not want your child to take part.
Our school is working with Polaris Education to hold small student focus groups this
year. Students meet in small groups during the school day and talk about their experience
at school: what is going well, and what could be better. Teachers and school leaders read
a summary of what students share and use it to improve the school.
What families should know
Conversations are recorded so they can be analyzed. Student names are removed, and a student is identified only by grade level (for example, "7th Grade Student"). Voice anonymization is also available on request within the platform, so a student's voice can be changed in the recording.
Written summaries are shared with our school and district.
Taking part is optional. Students can skip any question, pause, or leave at any time.
The conversations are analyzed with machine learning to find common themes. No student data is used to train AI models, and no data is sold. Learn more at polariseducation.ai/privacy.
Recordings are stored securely by Polaris Education and are never used for advertising.
If you would prefer your child not join the focus groups, fill out the
form below and return it to your school's front office, or email
